Product Description Wii Sports

Amazon.com Product Description Bundled with Wii, Wii Sports introduces a whole new way to play your game. This is what video games should be: fun for everyone. Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote controller to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. To play a Wii Sports game, all you need to do is pick up a controller and get ready for the pitch, serve or that right hook. If you've played any of these sports before, you're ready for fun!

Play Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing in the comfort of one's living room. No ball boys scurrying about, no oil from the alleys to get players dirty and no rain to keep anyone from a day at the court, park or course. Use the Wii Remote controller to mimic the actions of swinging a racket, bat or club, roll a ball down an alley or bring the left jab.

Players can use their own Mii caricatures in the game and play them against their friends' Miis for a more personalized experience. As players improve, their Miis' skill levels will increase, so that they can see exactly how much better they've become.

People of all skill levels can pick up and play any of the games in the unprecedented Wii Sports package, making this truly a title for everyone!

Possibly the best Pack-In game since Combat 44444
Wii sports is a great social experience. Best played in a group, each game is distilled to it's essence (swing bat, clup, racket; roll ball etc) an elixir which you will certainly become addicted. The challenges of accumulating medals in each sport add to the replay factor. A brilliantly conceived game which was certainly designed to familiarize the Wii user with the Wii-mote experience. Hopefully Nintendo will serve up some more elaborate titles which more fully integrate this unique game play interactivity.

We've been having a lot of fun with this. We ordered it for my younger sister, who has some physical issues, and she loves it! It helps her to exercise, especially during these long winter days indoors. I would definitely recommend this game!

We lost our Wii sports game that came with the console so were really happy to find the game on Amazon.com. The game works perfectly and came in a new sealed package. Our favorite is bowling and golf!

FUN, BUT BARE-BONES 6.5 OUT OF 10 33333
The first time I played the Wii was a terrible experience to the point of I hated it almost as much as the Gamecube (God, what an awful console that was). But then I got hands-on time with Wii Sports that has now peeked my interest in the system. It certainly isn't even close to being anywhere near perfect, but it will provide cheap thrills for hours of entertainment.
WHAT THE GAME IS: A game packaged with the Wii console containing sports like Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling, and Boxing. The games are very short and require minimal effort to be good at them.
GRAPHICS: This sure doesn't show off any capabilities of the Wii, it would have looked mediocre on last-gen consoles. The sloppy textures, the unremarkable childish animation, and the boring level designs bring down the experience at times.
MUSIC: Annoying and repetitive.
SOUND: The sounds match the sports they go along with, but it seems too quiet.
GAMEPLAY: The gameplay generally works fine, but there are times when it feels like it doesn't respond in time. Tennis works by simply swinging the Wii-mote like a racket. Baseball is the same situation, hold your Wii-mote like a baseball bat and swing. Golf, use the controller like a golf club and swing. With bowling, hold down the B-button and toss the move the controller like you'd move a bowling ball in real life. With boxing, it requires both the Wii-mote and Nunchuck and you frantically fling your arms forward like a boxer. The game itself feels too short to last a long time at all, the experience is generally better if you bring a friend along to play with you. The game will entertain you for awhile, but I look for beefier games with more content, and unfortunately Wii Sports misses the mark and is too short for its own good.
OVERALL: If you get a Wii, you're getting this game. It will entertain, and people who've never played games before will get a kick out of it, but more hardened gamers will look for an experience that provides more entertainment.
THE GOOD: The sports are easy to pick and play, and playing with friends.
THE BAD: The graphics, the music, and the game is too short.
