Having fun learning 55555
I always had problems when trying to learn a new language where boredom and frustration sets in. This game is addicting. They claim that you will learn Spanish in just 15 minutes a day but try playing anything less than a half hour as you will not be able to put it down.

This game will teach grammar in the beginning. It will give you a chart that I had written down to help me to properly choose the correct verb. It has fun games to reinforce what you learned. One of the games that I felt helped me was the bridge I had to build. They would give you the sentence in English that you had to take the scrambled Spanish words and sort them properly to make a bridge for cars to pass over. Example: the sentence might read in English, "What is your telephone number?" Then below you might see the words scrambled NUMERO ES CUAL DE TU TELEPHONO. You now have to drag them into the right order to say, CUAL ES TU NUMERO DE TELEPHONO?" That was not one of the sentences as I made it up.

The lessons are short. They usually begin with a small list of words for you to learn. On one side of the screen it might say SHIRT and to the right of it will be a box that says TRANSLATE. When you click TRANSLATE then you will hear a females voice that will say CAMISA. I believe there are about 10 words to learn per lesson. They will have some basic grammar for you to learn as well as simple sentences to translate. You will be able to play some games to assist in memorizing what words you have just learned.

I do not believe that this will teach you the language alone as you probably should practice with an actual Spanish person. One reviewer claimed that this game has some mistakes in pronunciation and spelling. This is NOT a reason to stay away from this product. I guarantee you that you will learn quicker using this game than you will using books or tapes. You will have less of a chance of becoming bored with learning Spanish.

It is true that this game does not necessarily teach you what noun is feminine or masculine all the time as that one reviewer pointed out. It does not take much to buy a book that will explain how to know what is masculine or feminine. It also is not a big deal to buy a complete Spanish dictionary that will tell you whether a word is masculine or feminine either. I use my dictionary a lot, and I also take what I have learned and practice with a native speaker to guarantee that I am not learning incorrectly. Don't let someone discourage you from buying this because they can find some flaws. Anyone can find flaws with anything. I have Spanish tapes by Berlitz and I was already told by Spanish people that certain phrases are NEVER used by Spanish speaking people as they are obsolete. Berlitz is supposed to be very good and yet they too have flaws.

If you easily get discouraged in learning a language then I think this will be the best thing for you. I love it and I am still going strong. I find learning a language now to be a lot of fun.

Easy format to learn a different language. 55555
I like this very much. They test your level of knowledge before you start training. I thought I was going to start at level one as I know only how to say goodbye I thought. I tested at level seven what a surprise.

It is a very intutitive language I am finding. This course will give you the basics to carry on a basic conversation. You will not be able to discuss the meaning of life or brain surgery.LOL

Highly recommend as a fun and easy challenge of learning a new language and challenge your brain.

Another Helpful Learning Tool 55555
I read all the reviews on this product after I bought it. Unfortunately, I didn't buy it from Amazon. I was surprised at some of the reviews. I won't give an over the top review. I like the program as an add-on training tool. It would be a terrible mistake to think that this would teach anyone real world Spanish. For those who have taken any foreign language studies will acknowledge that what you learn in class is different from what is normally spoken. However, My Spanish Coach is 10 thousand times more entertaining than listening to Pimsleur or Reading through the Living Language Series. I enjoy the interactive training tools. I have taken Spanish in school and I was more than a little surprised at the little charts included explaining basic conjugation of verbs. Nice touch! Pimsleur doesn't do this. Pimsleur is more or less a repeat after me program. Quite a dull way to learn a language to hear the same thing said over and over again. It is probably true that there are mispronunciations and unusual words/phrases not used in the USA. Latin American Spanish is different from Spanish spoken in Spain. Big Deal! Carry a dictionary or a Spanish grammar book. Ultimately the motivating factor for becoming adept at a language depends on the individual. My Spanish Coach is one of many learning tools. It is not meant to take the place of actual practice in the real world. So if you say the wrong word...Someone may look at you like your crazy or in most cases, people are impressed that one has taken the time to try speak their language. I am enjoying the program immensely but then again I am determine to make the most of whatever available resources are out there. Right now, there is no way that I would consider paying for Rosetta Stone. My Spanish Coach is priced perfectly and provides lots of entertainment. If there is ever a My Spanish Coach 2, I would definitely buy it. I am happy with the game and would recommend it to anyone looking into learning Spanish or brushing up on their Spanish.

Getting Rid of the Cobwebs 55555
My wife, who studied Spanish in college, says Spanish Coach is helping her in "getting rid of the cobwebs" in her brain while teaching new vocabulary in a fun way. A user/student can repeat lessons and games for practice until the vocabulary is learned. For older learners, Spanish Coach is a good way to stimulate the brain and re-learn a language at the same time.

WHEN YOU BEGIN THE GAME A TEST IS GIVEN. AT THE END OF THE TEST THE GAME DECIDES WHICH LEVEL YOU WILL START YOUR TRAINING INSTEAD OF LETTING THE PLAYER DECIDE. IT DOES NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT THE PLAYER MIGHT HAVE GUESSED THEIR WAY THROUGH THE TEST. THE DIFFERENT GAMES ARE A GOOD EXERCISE PRACTICE.
